Reggae legend Švihadlo celebrated 40 years of existence with an autumn tour. The oldest Czech reggae band was founded in Mladá Boleslav in 1983, then still under the name Nouzový východ. Among the most famous hits are Na Jamajce půl srdce mám, Po tobě toužím or Zelený list – a song that originally came about more as a joke. The band has toured clubs and festivals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, performed in neighbouring countries and even in China. The band has released 6 full-length albums, one rarities album (for the 20th anniversary – Pozpátku – 2003), one maxisingle (REGGAE minideSKA – 2004), and a selection album (Best of 30 – 2013) for the 30th anniversary. For the album Oči otevřený the band received the Anděl award (in the ska & reggae genre). Don’t miss this ride!
