The band consists of four siblings (brothers Riker, Rocky, Ross and sister Rydel) and their friend Ellington Ratliff. It all started in 2009 but the first major success came with the release of their debut album Louder. “We wanted to put out a fun album,” says Rydel. “We wanted to make an upbeat and inspirational album you want to play 24/7,” Ratliff adds. Louder established R5 as the foremost up-and-coming young pop-rock band today.

Apart from musical talent, Lynch brothers are good dancers and actors as well. Riker appeared on hit show Glee and Ross is known for his debut role as Austin Moon on the Disney Channel original series Austin & Ally. But one thing is for sure – music is their biggest passion. “There’s something cool that happens when we’re on stage together,” Riker says. “There’s nothing more exciting in the world.”

In their biggest show to date, the band played for a resounding 16,000 screaming fans. They were the opening act at the Wango Tango music festival, performing alongside other famous artists such as Shakira, Ed Sheeran or OneRepublic.

Their second album called Sometime Last Night will be released on July 10.
