About the event:

MF Robots of Jan Kincaid, the founder and main composer of the iconic Brand New Heavies, and an amazing singer Dawn Joseph are coming to play their first thrilling funk show in Prague.

An original mixture of funk, soul and acid jazz, dance groove, energy and sex appeal – all that and more is promised by MF Robots that will play in Lucerna Music Bar on 17th October. The whole show is about two extraordinary talents: Jan Kincaid, producer, founder drummer and main composer of the legendary British acid jazz band The Brand New Heavies, and Dawn Joseph, a singer and a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with many star names such as Rod Steward, Michael Bublé, Kylie Minogue or CeeLo Green and played bass in Phil Collins’ band.

MF Robots stands for Music For Robots but let’s just add that this is most likely a typically British sense of humour of Jan and Dawn. Because you can bet their music is very live and couldn’t be further from cold digital soulless machines. There’s wild blood in it and an energy that will surely occupy all your senses and organs.

The precise groove of Jan’s drum sticks and Dawn’s unique voice, charm and energy is delightfully completed by six amazing British musicians: Alex Montaque on keys, Nathaniel Adamson on Bass, Mark Beaney on guitar, Benjamin Treacher on sax, Graeme Flowers on trumpet and an experienced vocalist Senab Adekunle that has also sung with Adele.
