About the event:

The celebrations marking 40 years of the band Laura a její tygři will culminate on November 1, 2026, with a concert at Prague’s Lucerna Music Bar. Visitors will hear the best of the legendary band’s entire history and, together with the band, will christen the retrospective album In!Ventura and the long-awaited vinyl version of the album Most.

Laura and Her Tigers was formed at the end of 1985 on the initiative of Karel Šůcha, inspired by William Saroyan’s novella Tracy’s Tiger. The combination of tenderness and wildness was reflected not only in the band’s name, but also in its unmistakable visual appearance – black glasses, white shirts, black ties – and energetic, raw concert performances that set the band apart from the domestic scene.

Over four decades, the Tigers played more than 2,500 concerts at home and abroad, released 13 albums, and realized a number of significant concert projects. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, they made a name for themselves on European stages, performing at prestigious venues across Europe and beyond, and in 1993 they won the Grand Prix Media RFI award. Laura and Her Tigers are thus one of the most distinctive and enduring bands in Czech rock history.
