Awolnation’s name is derived from Bruno’s nickname during his high school studies. But it wasn’t until 2009 when Red Bull Records approached the musician with the possibility to create his own project. The cooperation brought EP Back To Earth and later on, the enormously successful LP Megalithic Symphony. That won them triple platinum disc – maybe also because it featured the hit single Sail. However, Awolnation haven’t slowed down and are busy recording a new album. First tracks are already out – ThisKidsNotAlright was released in spring last year and Some Kind of Joke was featured on Iron Man 3 soundtrack. Critics predict a long-lasting bright future to the band, hailing their live performances as their biggest asset.
