The Wombats coming back to Prague in November

The British indie-rock trio The Wombats just released in April their third studio album Glitterbug. Even they sound a little bit more grown up on that record, they still have the groove going. With the release The Wombats are also on tour, on the 17th of November we welcome them in the Lucerna Music Bar in Prague.

The Wombats (Matthew Murphy – vocalist/guitarist, Dan Haggis – drums and Norwegian-born Tord Øverland-Knudsen – bass) produced their new album Glitterbug together with Mark Crew (Bastille). It is the most personal album for the band. “We recorded most of it with Mark in the south London Battersea,”, Murphy is describing the process. Even, that the whole band was included in the making process was new for the band. “I’m glad, I didn’t need to write every song by my own.”, says Murphy.

The album is inspired by Murphy’s live in Los Angeles. During the writing for the new album he was inspired by the idea of a fictive woman and the wild relationship with her. “The album is about jealousy, fear, and insecurity. Feelings, which you can find in LA and in every other big city.”, says Murphy.

The concert Dub Pistols is one of the 20 concerts prepared for the 20th anniversary of the Lucerna Music Bar.
