The Cinematic Orchestra will go on tour

The British band The Cinematic Orchestra is coming on European tour in the autumn. The stars of the cult label Ninja Tune are also coming to Prague; on the 15th of November they are part of the 20th anniversary concert series of the Lucerna Music Bar.

After an intensive time in the studio and a great success of the concert in London’s Roundhouse, which was after 6h sold out, The Cinematic Orchestra is coming back to the European stages. They will play 22 concerts in 13 countries and will present in their great show only new songs from the upcoming album, but also their previous hits. Main member, composer and producer Jason Swinscoe is accommodated by saxophonist Tom Chant, singer Heidi Vogel and Larry Brown, drummer Luke Flowers and many more European and American musicians.

The Cinematic Orchestra was found 1999 by J.Swinscoe and already the debut album Motion (1999) was a big success. In 2001 they got the offer to make the music for the film “Man with a movie camera”. Many songs originally composed for this project were later adopted for their second studio album Every Day (2002). The last studio album Ma Fleur was released in 2007.  A year later The Cinematic Orchestra released a live album recorded at Royal Albert Hall. In 2011 the band had different concerts in the London Barbican Centre. The best moments from these concerts were released in 2012 on the album The Cinematic Orchestra Presents: In Motion #1.

The concert The Cinematic Orchestra is one of the 20 concerts prepared for the 20th anniversary of the Lucerna Music Bar. Last week we announced already another names: Marina and the Diamonds, Incognito and Dub Pistols. Other concerts will be announced during the upcoming weeks.

Tickets are available in pre-sale for 700 CZK (+fee) from the 22nd of July at musicbar.cz, GoOut.cz, Ticketpro, Ticketportal and Eventim. At the cash desk of the Lucerna Music Bar you can get the tickets without fee.
