Lucerna Music Bar has a new logo and visuals since March, made by the Studio Najbrt. Have a look :)
The new logo shows the symbol of the lantern (Lucerna = Lantern). It also shows a microphone, which refers to the history, when the Cabaret Lucerna was led by Karel Hašler.
“We were of course thinking of many different possibilities, but in the end we decided to make the accent on the uniqueness of this place and its energy.”, explains Aleš Najbrt the process. The moderns visual is working with the own font Fellix LMB and a black and white layout, other colors will be added with the time.
For the March program we choose the black and white version:
This is how it looks with colors added:

Last year, for the 20th anniversary, were made in the Lucerna Music Bar many changes. Not only the round podium was rebuilt, but also the sound, light and the bar were renewed.
The history of the Lucerna Music Bar goes back to the beginning of the 20th century, when the Palace Lucerna was build. By 1909 the club was already used as a theatre and later as a cabaret under Karel Hašler. The next important step in the history of the Lucerna Music Bar is the year 1927, when the Cabaret – Restaurant Lucerna opened. Many famous Czech artists performed here (Voskovec and Werich) and popular jazz bands played and filled the dancefloor. After 1948 the whole Lucerna palace, which was property of the Havel family, was nationalized. In the dark days of communism the club was used as a night club without any real focus. 20 years ago, on October 25th, 1995, the new era of the Lucerna Music Bar had begun. We strongly believe that era will continue on for at least the next 20 years.
