The Ramona Flowers opening for Lamb on Tuesday

When The Ramona Flowers got together as a band two years ago, they decided to make music as they imagine it. The band mixes electro, rock, indie together with the great voice of Steve Bird and a big portion of emotion.

The Ramona Flowers played as a support already for many bands: Bastille, Bombay Bicycle Club, Alt-J, Everything Everything, Hot Chip and Ladyton did a remix for them. The magazin NME describes their sound as something, what could be on the album Kid A from Radiohead. On the other side comperes The Guardian the sound with the sweet indie sound of The Temper Traps.

They started to make music together in Bristol, the city, which gave birth to bands like Tricky, Portishead, Massive Attack and Goldfrapp. Three friends from school – Sam James (guitar), Wayne Jones (bass) a Dave Betts (keyboard and guitar) – founded the band and experimented with the sound of their favorite music; later joined singer Bird and drummer Ed Gallimore to make the band complete.

The Ramona Flowers sent their record to Andy Barlow from the duo Lamb. “He is a genius”, says Sam James. “I always was a big fan of Lamb.” It was a big surprise, when Barlow answered and offered to produce their album. This year in June the debut album “Dismantle and Rebuild” was released. Their breakthrough is coming very soon and you have the chance to see them live on the 2nd of December in the Lucerna Music Bar, where they will support Lamb.
