Top 10 concerts you should not miss

There’s always something spectacular going on in Lucerna Music Bar. We have so many amazing concerts each month it can get a bit overwhelming so let us recommend you top 10 that we think you shouldn’t miss in the next few weeks and months.

21. 1. Helmet / US
Helmet are coming to promote their brand new album Dead To The World which came out at the end of last year, a heavy riffed mixture of alternative rock, metal and post-hardcore. Have no doubt you’ll be hit by the punk spirit and although they’ve been around since 1989, expect a full-on energetic show.

3. 2. The Temper Trap / AUS
ZThere has been so much great music flowing from Australia in the last few years of which The Temper Trap are perfect example. Having shared stage with Coldplay and the Rolling Stones and selling over a million albums, these positive alternative rockers will take you to the sunshine land, far away from icy Prague.

16. 2. N.O.H.A.
A well balanced mix of drum & bass, world music and dubstep will bring you to ecstasy within minutes. An international project based around saxophonist and band leader Filip Noha is releasing a new album. They are back to Unique Records where they released such hits as Balkan Hot Step and Tu Café. This will be a night to remember!

22. 2. The Dandy Warhols / US
Bringing alternative rock spiced with psychedelia, The Dandy Warhols are coming back to Lucerna Music Bar after two years. Czech audience understand them deeply and maybe that’s why one of their hits is called A Bohemian Like You.

23. 2. Astronautalis / US
This contagiously likeable rapper from Florida loves the Czech Republic and we are positive he will do everything for you to love him too. You’ll hear tunes from his new album Cut the Body Loose. Touching base with indie rock and blues you can bet your body will get properly relaxed here.

8. + 9. 3. Horkýže Slíže / SK
This Czech and Slovak legend will get any crowd going whether it’s a festival, club or pub. Catchy tunes from their 25 year long existence will get this house pumping for two nights in a row.

13. 3. TOSCA live & Richard Dorfmeister DJ set
What would a proper chocolate sacher cake sound like? Same as the music of Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber. Uniquely sounding electronic Tosca is coming to Prague to promote a new album Going Going Going which will be released this February. This cake will be fresh and warm!

21. 3. Amy Macdonald / UK
The adorable voice of this Scottish singer and songwriter will reach your heart. She’s not thirty yet and already has got four awarded albums, the last one called Under Stars. Flowing between folk, country and alternative indie rock, this night will be full of beautiful songs.

5. 4. Thundercat / US
A true musical delicacy. A grammy awarded bass player, singer, composer and virtuoso will bring his trio (drums, bass, keys) to play a fusion of R&B, jazz, soul and electronic music. Thundercat has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu, Flying Lotus or Suicidal Tendencies. As a guest he appears on albums by Mac Miller, Vic Mensa, Childish Gambino or Keziah Jones.

12. 4. Protoje & The Indiggnation / JAM
To conclude our list let us present to you the best fruit of contemporary Jamaican reggae and dubwise. Protoje is a member of a musical movement calling for going back to the roots, positive attitude and Rastafarian heritage. Two years ago he got spotted by BBC Radio 1 Xtra and was included in their “Hot for 2015” list. They were right because his megahit Who Knows was noticed by every reggae fan in this world.
