The British ambient house project The Orb is coming on 23rd of January to the Lucerna Music Bar in Prague. The founder Alex Paterson is coming with Philippe Le Gonidec and VJ Michael Coles. Fans of the elegant chill out music can look forward to songs of their actual album “The Orbserver in the Star House”, which came out this year in Berlin in collaboration of the Jamaican producer and singer Lee Scratch Perry.
The Orb is real legendary dance music. With their first pieces they contribute to the rave revolution in the 90s, where they released with the London label Rough Trade the acid house song Tripping in Sunshine and later the album The Orb’s Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld. Alex Paterson was at this time influenced by the New York sound and played it as DJ Mr.X at parties in London.
In the 2010 Alex Pateron released with the guitarist of Pink Floyd David Gilmour the album Metallic Spheres.
At the conference in the LMB Alex Paterson and Philippe Le Gonidec will show a great audiovisual concert, better don’t miss it.
