The Swedish trio Movits! is coming very soon to their Czech club premier! Already next Monday, 10th of February they start their Europe-tour in Prague. As a support is the Czech MC Oliver Lowe on stage. He brings his fiends, live band and DJ Flux. That is hip hop, how nobody else is doing it: Perfect beats and scratches, awesome lyrics mixed with a touch of jazz, soul and funk. Oliver worked not only with big names of the Czech and Slovakian hip hop scene, like Vec, Rest, DJ Wich and Delik, but also with the international known MC Akua Naru, with rapper Lona from Poland and Japanese producer Shingo Suzuki and Mabanua. He released already two albums: “Peníze nebo život“ and „Peníze nebo život 2“. They will play the best of both albums and also songs from his live band, which is releasing under the name Chewin Gun. In between is showing DJ Flux his best, he won many times the DMC championship. Oliver and his band are already working on the third album, which is going to be released this year.
Now is the question, why not stay at home in front of the television on a Monday evening? For those, who saw Movits! in 2012 at Pohoda Festival or last year at Colours of Ostrava and Rock for Churchill, the question is unnecessary. This energetic trio from the Swedish city Lulea is the best example, that music has no borders. They are singing in their mother tongue Swedish, but fans around the whole world are welcoming them with open arms. They are not too much worried about their style, they play what they like. In 2008 it was the combination of hip hop and neo swing, which brought them big success with their album “Äppelknyckarjazz”. On the last album “Huvudet Bland Molnen” (2013) is was more hip hop in combination with dance music. Either way it is great music, full of fun and dance!
