Milow – with real name Jonathan Vandenbroeck – is one of the most successful singer-songwriters in Europe. He combines classic folk songwriting with catchy pop elements which make his songs very personal and touching for the crowd, an old-school soul with clear genuine ideas regarding the music industry. Milow released his debut album „The Bigger Picture“ in 2006 on his own label Homerun Records. His international breakthrough came after the release of his acoustic cover of „Ayo Technology“ (50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland) in 2008. The single received tremendous media reviews and stayed on the charts for over 340 weeks in 14 different countries. Further to this huge success, Milow quickly managed to build a strong fanbase by writing his own amazing songs including « You Don’t Know » and « Little in the Middle ». A few years later, he has sold over 650,000 albums and more than 1.15 million singles.
His inspirational influences include singers and songwriters such as Ryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen and Jack Johnson. However, all his songs reflect a point of view of his own. „Every time I get on stage, I feel like that’s an opportunity to show a little bit more of myself,“ Milow says. In 2010 he won the public choice prize at the European Border Breakers Awards.
This is a unique opportunity to see this fantastic stage performer! The show takes place on the 10th of December; but not at the Theatre U Hasičů, as planed, but at the Lucerna Music Bar (tickets bought for the Theatre U Hasičů are still valid)
