The word heavy metal is heavy connected with the name Anthrax and their success in the eighties. They played with Slayer, Megadeth and a band played in their studio – Metallica. For sure you know the milestone crossover hit with Public Enemy “Bring The Noise” from 1991. Many bands want to play like they do; they are heroes of the heavy metal scene.
In the year 2009 Anthrax was without a singer. John Bush decided to try a different direction, so why not try the good old you know? They ask Joey Belladonna, their singer in the years 1985 – 1992. Joey agreed and something great happened: they finished their 10th album “Worshop Music”. The album was co-produced by Rob Caggiano and Jay Ruston (both are producers nominated for the Grammy). It came out in 2011 and the magazine Metal Rules called it the album of the year.
Anthrax is also in the 21st century full of power!
