About the event:

The Temperance Movement is a British blues-rock band, which was founded in 2011 in Glasgow by singer Phil Campbell, guitarist Luke Potashnick (ex-Rooster and Ben’s Brother) and Paul Sayer. The bass is playing the ex-member of Jamiroquai Nick Fyffe and the drums Australian Damon Wilson, who played e.g. with Ray Daviese, The Waterboys and Feeder. The band released their 5 first singles on the “Pride EP” in 2012, in August 2013 came out their first debut album “The Temperance Movement”. The “Pride EP” has 5 songs: “Ain’t No Telling”, “Only Friend”, “Pride”, “Be Lucky” and “Lovers & Fighters”. The band had a concert one week after the EP release at the Sunflower Jam SuperJam in the Royal Albert Hall. They also played at the Futurerock in the 100 Club (Oxford Street, London). The Album “The Temperance Movement” was released under Earache Records. When you hear their blues rock’n’roll you get caught by the rough voice of Campbell ala Joe Cocker. The music is influenced by The Black Crows, Free and Flying Burrito Brothers. Bands like the Temperance Movement can save the rock’n’roll. Their tour in the UK last year was sold out.
