In 2009 was one of the biggest surprises at Planet Festival the British band The Boxer Rebellion. About their great show were written many great reviews, musicserver.cz wrote: “great, great and great!”. The Boxer Rebellion are a phenomenon of alternative rock, which does not like to follow any rules. “This band can change your life”, wrote the British NME. Their songs are unbelievably epic and surprisingly personal and melodic.

They have so far released an eponymous EP, three studio albums, Exits (2005), Union (2009) and The Cold Still (2011) and a compilation album, B-Sides & Rarities Collection, Vol. 1 & 2 (2012). The Boxer Rebellion’s third studio album, The Cold Still (2011) was mixed and produced by Ethan Johnsat Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios. The album was released on iTunes on 1 February 2011 in the United States. It was released digitally on iTunes and physically in the UK, Europe, and around the world 7 February 2011, and in France 1 March 2011. They music made an appearance in several tv-shows, especially in the movie “Going the Distance” with Drew Barrymore. They are currently finalizing plans for their 2013 North American tour in support of their fourth studio album, “Promises,” which is scheduled for release on 14 May 2013. And with this album they will come to the LMB, on 23^rd of September.
