The unique and unstoppable Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are coming to Prague! On June 5th they will bring to Lucerna Music Bar a show you definitely don’t want to miss.

For the uninitiated: Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are the punk supergroup and cover band extraordinaire of 2024, made up of punk legends John Reis, guitarist and vocalist of Rocket from the Crypt, Joey Cape of Lagwagon on guitar, Pinch of The Damned on drums. Rounding out the crew are Fat Mike, the master bassist from NOFX, and CJ Ramone from a little band you may have heard of, The Ramones. And there’s also the incomparable Spike Slawson.

When duty calls for one of the Gimme to perform with their next band, rest assured that the traveling members of the Gimme will hit the ground running. Social Distortion’s Jonny “2 Bags” Wickersham, Bad Religion’s Jay Bentley and Bad Cop/Bad Cop’s Stacey Dee have been known to fill in for them, and Jake Kiley, professional stoner and recreational guitarist from Strung Out, occasionally shows up on tour. Together, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are a lineup that has always functioned more like the Pussycat Dolls from the pub than a normal band. In 2004, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes had the pleasure of destroying Johnny’s Bar Mitzvah. Since then, they’ve ruined another party and bring you Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Blow It… at Madison’s Quinceañera!

After seven studio albums, two live recordings and too many singles to count, the band has dabbled in just about every genre under the sun. Whether it’s Motown, country, show tunes or Japanese pop (sung in Japanese!), these seasoned punk rock pros have triumphed at every opportunity as only the Gimmes could. Where to begin with such an extensive and broad catalog? With a live show, of course! The force continues and they’ll be belting out corridos, pop, country and Motown tunes all year long, so don’t miss out.
