One of the biggest newcomers in the British music scene is the British singer and songwriter Låpsley. She will perform on the 5th of October in Prague’s Lucerna Music Bar. She was nominated as BBC Sound of 2015 and NME Best New Artist 2016. She is bringing her debut album Long Way Home to Prague, which was released this year in March.
Holly Lapsley Fletcher, known by the stage name Låpsley was born in York and grew up in Southport, Merseyside. She started her career in 2013, when she started to perform with many different bands. Her first EP Monday from 2014, which she recorded in her own bedroom, got in one year over half a million listens on soundcloud. In the same year she performed at BBC Introducing stage at the legendary Glastonbury festival. Her second EP Understudy was released already by the legendary record label XL Recordings in January 2015. The debut album Long Way Home was released in March this year and the reviews are more then positive reviews about this album, especially the minimalist, but hitting electro production and the amazing vocals got wonderful feedback. Låpsley will not be touring only through Europe, but also through Australia, Japan and the United States.
