In case you like modern reggae dancehall with a little spice of R&B and hip hop, then you heard for sure of this very talented guy named Gappy Ranks. His family has roots in Jamaica, but he grew up in the streets of London, where he made in the beginning of 2010 contact with the famous label Greensleeves Records. The song “Heaven In Your Eyes” became a #1 reggae hit in Great Britain and got Gappy a spot in the big radios. Already in 2008 he released a crazy combination “What Do We Do” in the production of Kray Twinz feat. Twista, Lethal B. On year later came the hits “Rising Out of the Ghetto”, “Billionaire” and “Stinkin Rich” out. In this particular time he was supported by the producer and owner of the label Peckgings and they started to release new songs on old reggae riddims, e.g. “Studio One”.

Gappy was in March on tour in California, on 23^rd of May he will be with his band for the first time in the LMB here in Prague. Tickets are available from the 17^th of April or you can use the ticket from the Anthony B concert, which didn’t happen. Anthony is by the way still in States, unable to travel to Europe. Gappy Ranks is a hell of a good alternative for this concert, you for sure wouldn’t regret it!
