Editors are a British alternative band from Birmingham, which was found in 2002. Previously known as Pilot, The Pride and Snowfield, the band consists these days of  Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano),Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), and Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals). Two of their three released studio albums got platinum status, selling over several million copies worldwide. Their debut album The Back Room was released in 2005 with the hits “Munich” and “Blood”. In the following year they were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

They come to Prague to present their 4th studio album “The Weight of Your Love”, which will be released on 1^st of July. The first single of the album is “A Ton of Love”. It is the first album without Chrise Urbanowicze, who left the band in April 2012. According to the band, he left due to a difference in musical direction, but they are still friends. Tom Smith says: “I was long time talking about my love to American bands like R.E.M. or Acrade Fire and this is a sound, which you can find in our new songs. It feels like we’re more sure of ourselves, more muscular. The record feels untouchable at times, I’m really quite surprised at what we’ve achieved”

The support band is the band Balthazar from Belgium.
