British singer and musician Benjamin Clementine returns to Prague. This time the winner of the prestigious Mercury Prize will perform on 31 March 2025 at Lucerna Music Bar. The concert will take place as part of the tour for the new album Sir Introvert and the Featherweights, which will be released on 14 February 2025 by Preserve Artists.
The beginning of his career was not easy for Clementine. He started out in Paris as a street performer, while also making a living as a clerk at a snack stand. However, his street gigs became increasingly famous, eventually earning him the opportunity to record his first EP and play on a BBC programme. It was this performance that was a turning point for Clementine. His debut album At Least for Now followed, for which he won the Mercury Prize, and he has since toured all over the world. As well as music, he has also dabbled in film, poetry and fashion.
Clementine wrote his planned album in the Santa Monica Mountains and Ojai, California. In it, he tackles themes of marriage, love, friendship, sobriety and family relationships. It will be the fourth album by this artist with an exceptional baritone.
