Major Lazer was originally the project of Diplo and Switch, which separated in 2011. Diplo now works together with Dj Jillionair and Walsh, mainly at his live performances. The list of artists, with which he work together is long, e.g. Thom Yorke, La Roux, Santigold, Leftside, Amber Coffman, Elly Jackson, Beyoncé, No Doubt, Pusd and Shove, Busy Signal or Snoop Dog/Snoop Lion. In 2012 they announced, that they have a new album ready, which should come out in February 2013 with the name Free the Universe.
In October they went on tour through America, this year their goal is Europe. Major Lazer are coming 14th of May to the LMB.
