Cult of Fire is a Hindu and Buddhist themed band that formed in 2010. Although in its early days the band focused on other things, everything changed in 2013, when they released the album मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान, which the band says is the most complex and profound work of art they have ever created to date. The album was created around the goddess Kali, the Aghoris and the funeral rituals in India and its immediate surroundings.

Before each album Vlad travels to India to place offerings on altars, worship the gods in local temples and meditate. From this he draws inspiration and energy, which he then puts into the band’s music and stage presence. The vast majority of everything Cult of Fire use on stage during their live performances comes from India and Nepal. Cult of Fire is a musical tribute and worship of Hindu and Buddhist deities and their live performances are a showcase of Tantric rituals, Aghoris, Kali, Shiva and other deities. For those who are drawn to the ancient rituals and scents of the Orient and wish to be transported thousands of miles east, Cult of Fire will provide that experience.
