“It’s a marriage of convenience and passion,” says Juraj Benetin, lead singer of Korben Dallas, of his union with Billy Barman, with whom he is going on a joint tour called Unconventional Family in the spring of 2025. At the shows, the bands will play their greatest hits, but there will also be musical collaborations, including new songs they are working on. “The goal is to present a compact program that’s not just two separate shows,” Benetin says.

The bands have been meeting at festivals and concerts for years, and their audiences have a lot of crossover, but on the other hand, they also have different perspectives on songwriting and the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. “That’s how the name Unconventional Family came about – it’s an allusion to the fact that as musicians we have a lot in common and a lot that sets us apart.
