Make that two things: no brass band had ever sounded like this before! The fastest gipsy brass band is coming back to Prague on the <b>27<sup>th<\/sup> of January<\/b>. Alongside songs of the newest album \u201cDevil\u2019s Tale\u201d they are also playing the best of their repertoire of all times. One of the best live bands is coming originally from a little hidden village in Romania. With their jazz virtuosity they are well-defined from all the other brass bands: their furious live blast appealing to punks and headbangers, jazz and funk fans, world music aficionados and those who simply love music that sounds absolutely unique. <!--more-->The band was discovered in 1996 by a German fan \u2013 Henry Ernst. When he brought them later to London, <i>The Times<\/i> of London described it as &#8220;a heavy, heavy monster sound&#8221; and Fanfare&#8217;s recordings have taken their eerie Balkan groove into dance clubs across the planet. Along the way <b>Fanfare Ciocarlia<\/b> have been celebrated by critics and championed in all kinds of media: they star in several films (Ralf Marschalleck&#8217;s <i>Iag Bari<\/i> follows the band on tour across Europe while Fatih Akin&#8217;s <i>Head On<\/i> has them ripping up Berlin&#8217;s clubs), own the cover of <i>Princes Amongst Men<\/i> (Garth Cartwright&#8217;s acclaimed book on Romany musical culture), were commissioned by Sacha Baron Cohen to cut biker anthem Born To Be Wild for the <i>Borat<\/i> soundtrack and have been sampled and covered, championed and emulated, by countless DJs, bands and Gypsy orchestras. <b>Fanfare Ciocarlia<\/b> have released nine albums, several of which have topped the European World Music charts. They have played over 1500 concerts and like to consider themselves &#8220;the hardest working band in the blow biz&#8221;.
