Attention to all the reggae fans: there are many great concerts coming up in the next months! Besides of today\u2019s concert of Jamaican superstar Chronixx, Groundsation<\/b> (12.8.) and Gentleman<\/b> (26.11.) are the British legends Steel Pulse<\/b> coming on
\nthe 21st<\/sup> of October to the LMB in Prague.\u00a0Steel Pulse<\/b>, started out in 1975 performing on the British punk scene with groups like Generation X as part of the Rock Against Racism<\/b> movement, was founded in the Handsworth section of Birmingham.They may have explored various styles of music since then, but when it comes to the message, the UK\u2019s Grammy \u2013 Winning reggae band has remained close to their roots.\u00a0 The Group has continued their commitment to fighting injustice, educating the masses, and promoting positive messages through spiritually uplifting music.<\/p>\n

Steel Pulse is the only UK reggae group to win a Grammy.\u00a0 In 1985 Babylon The Bandit<\/b> Album won the Best Reggae Album category.\u00a0 Their international success earned them further Grammy Nominations for their albums, Victims, Rastafari Centennial, Rage & Fury, Living Legacy and African Holocaust. Through their 35 years of history they have been joined live on stage by artists as diverse as Stevie Wonder to the Stranglers and have performed live with Bob Marley & the Wailers, Sting, Inxs, Santana, Robert Palmer, Herbie Hancock and Bob Dylan, amongst others. A collaboration with Spike Lee on the \u201cDo The Right Thing\u201d movie soundtrack in 1989 resulted in David\u2019s composition \u2018<\/b>Can\u2019t Stand It\u2019 featuring in the movie. In 1993, at the request of the Clinton Administration, Steel Pulse became the first reggae band ever to perform during the inaugural festivities at The White House.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just can\u2019t ignore the politics, because every life and soul that\u2019s born on this earth is a political manoeuvre for someone, at some stage\u201d, lead singer David Hinds<\/b> explains.\u00a0 \u201cFrom a spiritual aspect, it\u2019s really an upliftment through facing reality \u2013 what\u2019s out there.\u00a0 We deal with positive spirits.\u00a0 It means putting aside the guns, the drugs and all of the things that are ailments of society \u2013 especially the black communities right now\u201d.<\/p>\n

Steel Pulse are already nearly four decades on stage, have fans around the whole world and a great discography, anyway they will be on 21st<\/sup> of October the first time in Czech Republic.
\nTickets are available for 450,-CZK till 15th<\/sup> of September. After that the ticket is for 550,-CZK (+fee). You get the ticket without fee at the cash desk of the LMB or directly at this page. At the door: 650,-CZK.<\/p>\n
