\"Ladi6<\/a>Ladi6<\/strong> is one of the biggest new comer in the hip hop and soul scene. This singer and rapper from New Zealand got the attention, when she was on tour with Gil Scott-Heron, The Roots and De La Soul<\/strong> and also through her work with the known drum and base band NZ Shapeshifter<\/strong>. Even she is a important member of the New Zealand hip hop scene, she mixes styles like hip hop, soul, r\u2019n\u2019b and reggae. In 2008 she released her debut album \u201dTime Is Not Much\u201d, produced by Parks and MU (Fat Freddy\u2019s Drop). Her second album \u201cThe Liberation Of\u2026\u201d was a big change. It was recorded in Berlin, produced by Parks and the German producer Sepalot. The album got platinum status in NZ. In 2011 she received two music awards \u201cBest Urban album\u201d and \u201cbest singer\u201d, two Pacific Music Awards \u201cBest Pacific Urban album\u201d and \u201cBest singer\u201d and the album \u201cThe Liberation Of\u2026\u201d won the Taite price.<\/p>\n
