On Tuesday 7 October 2025, the Prague Big Band will celebrate an incredible 50 years of its existence with a big concert at Lucerna Music Bar.<\/p>\n
The concert will be a cross-section of the orchestra’s work in all its changing periods, from the present to the beginning. The rich programme will feature original compositions from the 16 albums the orchestra has recorded during its career to date.<\/p>\n
The evening will feature many of the top jazz musicians who play or have played in the orchestra and a number of great soloists such as Ji\u0159\u00ed Stiv\u00edn, Emil Viklick\u00fd, Ond\u0159ej Soukup, Franti\u0161ek Kop, Julius Baro\u0161, \u0160t\u011bp\u00e1n Markovi\u010d, Marcel B\u00e1rta, Franti\u0161ek Ku\u010dera, Kry\u0161tof Marek, Martin Kum\u017e\u00e1k, Lubo\u0161 Soukup, Miroslav Hloucal and many more.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of the evening, four members of the KJJ College Big Band, which Milan Svoboda has been leading at the Jaroslav Je\u017eek College and Conservatory since 2008, will perform as additional guests.<\/p>\n
