Vidiek was founded in 1987 in the village of Rovinka near Bratislava. In 1988, Vidie\u010dan had its first hit on the radio. And others followed: Let Her Go, A Thousand Wonders, Rudy and Hilda, English, When It’s 7 in the Morning, It’s Not Easy, Christmas 97, Navorn\u00edcka, O ma\u0148o, Anjel, Mil\u00e1, Sed\u00edm le\u017e\u00edm, Hrajte tr\u00fabky or Dohodnime sa. <\/p>\n
Vidiek have recorded 6 albums during their existence (Nechajte si ju 1989, Vidiek 1993, \u0160tyry 1997, V\u00fdber na\u017eivo 2000 awarded with the Golden Record, Nov\u00e9 \u010dasy 2003 and the last one – Vidiek s oblohou, 2015). In addition, Vidiek have recorded a commemorative album Ventil RG, a live CD and DVD Ventil RG – Randal 2007 and the singer J\u00e1n Kuric has also recorded an album on which he collaborated with the Czech singer V\u011bra B\u00edl\u00e1. <\/p>\n
The original line-up of J\u00e1n Kuric – vocals, Richard Jajcay – guitar and O\u0148o Tom\u010dala – drums are still playing in Vidiek. The latest “addition” is Martin Kla\u010dansk\u00fd – bass guitar, who is only a year older than Vidiek. The band has played countless concerts in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, as well as in the USA, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine, Ireland and the UK. <\/p>\n
Their Prague concert, planned for Saturday 25th January 2025 at Lucerna Music Bar in Prague, will be their big return to our capital city after many years. Of course, the greatest hits and great atmosphere, which adds another dimension just the space of this Prague club.
