Kl\u00e1ra Vytiskov\u00e1 is preparing a club concert after a longer break. With her band Klara & The Pop they will play in Lucerna Music Bar on 8th March. They will have a special guest, Antonia Vai, a musician and composer of Hungarian and Swedish descent. The day of the concert is also the International Women\u2019s Day and so it\u2019s quite symbolic that two extraordinary ladies with prominent voices and original music will meet on stage. Antonia Vai, who often calls her style poetic soul, won\u2019t perform beside Klara & The Pop for the first time. Klara with her band played at the release party of her new album in the Budapest\u2019s legendary club A38.<\/p>\n
Charming and energetic Kl\u00e1ra Vytiskov\u00e1 received an And\u011bl award for her solo album Home. Klara & The Pop won the crowd at last year\u2019s Colours of Ostrava with their original music and amazing drive. They also did very well in Sziget, the biggest festival in Central Europe. Their journey that began successfully years ago with the album Toxic is now reaching another dimension. Klara & The Pop are the proof that a good song performed with charm and a strong drive doesn\u2019t need a genre to stick to, all it needs is a good listener.<\/p>\n
Klara & The Pop members are Tereza Vytiskov\u00e1 aka Edna Green, Kl\u00e1ra\u2019s sister, who plays the synthesiser and pads, Mat\u011bj Belko, the band leader playing the guitar and bass guitar, Adam Koller on drums and Jan Ale\u0161 on keys.<\/p>\n
Antonia Vai is one of the most interesting singers in Hungary right now. Rough and explosively spoken lyrics are typical for her alternative pop soul style. Her music has flavours of flamenco, Balkan and world music. Antonia herself describes it as poetic soul, dramatic folk and melodic bitch slap. Her original style spread is to some extent based on her cosmopolitan roots and life experience.<\/p>\n
