CHE SUDAKA goes on tour again or, to put it another way, in 2017 the tour of CHE SUDAKA goes into its 15th year, because strictly speaking, this extraordinary band never took a break from touring: for the past fifteen years it crosses frontiers and breaks limits, inviting with its songs under the motto \u201cthink while you dance!\u201d the audience throughout all five continents not only to have a cheerful party but also to develop social awareness and solidarity.<\/p>\n
Formed in 2002 at the Mediterranian seaport Barcelona, CHE SUDAKA today are known as a flagship group of
\nMestizo Music around the globe: wherever the two Argentinean brothers Leo and Kachafaz and their two
\nColombian comrades Cheko and Jota appear, their fusion of Cumbia, Ska and Punk guarantees fiesta. Their
\nexpressive sociocritical lyrics pull down any ideological or physical frontier and defend human coexistence
\nagainst political and media division: a coherent speech that makes them stand out from the crowd. CHE
\nSUDAKA have become the figurehead both of an attitude towards life and of a counterculture, the living link of
\na planetary family.<\/p>\n
The formerly illegal immigrants on the streets of Barcelona were invited to festivals in forty countries and by
\nnow have played at around one and a half thousand concerts all over the world. Their musical roots are to be
\nfound in South American popular culture and in legendary bands like The Clash, Mano Negra and Los
\nFabulosos Cadillacs. Overflowing energy on stage is their trademark, an overwhelming presence, that both
\nincite the audience to dance and to think: celebrating together, dreaming together, living showing solidarity!
\nHowever the band keeps resisting being used for political items, finding their place close to worldwide social
\ngrassroots movements, which fight for an improvement of human life conditions and for more influence on
\npolitical decisions: Power to the people!<\/p>\n
CHE SUDAKA is a band with a mission, a band that sees itself as a medium for collective consciousness. Their
\nmusic is a weapon in a non-violent struggle for a caring society. Music becomes a means to an end, the most
\nuniversally understood language for their messages.<\/p>\n
By the end of 2014 the band releases its sixth studio album \u201cHOY\u201d and works unabated on the realization of
