The gigs will be the bands\u2019 first since playing with Foals at Alexandra Palace in Feb 2014. The Times raved about those shows, reporting, \u201ccharismatic singer Matt Shultz ended stripped to the waist, upside down in the crowd, feet flailing above the heads around him\u201d. You will have the chance to see them live on the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> of August in the Lucerna Music Bar with their premier solo show. We expect one of the wildest shows in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Melophobia\u2019 (2013) took the band to new heights, delivering two Number One singles on the Alternative charts (\u2018Come a Little Closer\u2019 and \u2018Cigarette Daydreams\u2019), with Rolling Stone heralding \u201cKentucky&#8217;s Cage the Elephant warp Sixties garage rock, Seventies punk and Eighties alt-rock into excellently weird new shapes\u201d. Their 2011 album \u2018Thank You Happy Birthday \u2018debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was praised as \u201cone of the best rock albums of the year\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>With \u2018Tell Me I\u2019m Pretty\u2019 Cage the Elephant are pushing the advances they made with their last record, 2013\u2019s \u2018Melophobia\u2019, which was nominated for a Grammy for \u2018Best Alternative Album\u2019 while also drawing from the sounds that initially inspired them to start making music. \u201cWith this record, we wanted to be more transparent,\u201d says lead singer Matt Shultz. \u201cWe wanted to capture the sentiment of each song, and whatever emotional response it provoked, to be really honest to that.\u201d The results are the band\u2019s most forceful and focused songs yet. They recorded most of the songs on the first take, capturing the band\u2019s raw and frenetic onstage energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Tell Me I\u2019m Pretty \u2018was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys &amp; The Arcs, mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Adele, Florence + the Machine) and recorded at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, TN, near the group\u2019s hometown of Bowling Green, KY.<\/p>\n<p>Long celebrated as one of the most explosive live bands in the world, Cage the Elephant has toured extensively, selling out several headlining runs and performing alongside the likes of The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Muse and Queens of the Stone Age.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are available for 490,- CZK (+fee) at GoOut.cz, Ticketpro, Ticketportal, Eventim, musicbar.cz and at the cash desk of the LMB (without fee).
