The pianist Jason Moran enthused the festival audience in 2011 as a sideman of Charles Lloyd. Now he is with his solo project on the road, where he connects Harlem’s piano of the 20s, Chicago’s avant-garde of the 60s and hip hop themes. Fats Waller was a successful and powerful person in the 20s and 30s \u2013 singer, pianist, organist, showman and entertainer. He composed many songs, which now belong to the treasure of American standard, such as Ain’t Misbehavin’ or Honeysuckle Rose. The project of Fason Moran “Fats Waller Dance Party” was ordered by the centrum Harlem Stage in 2011 as an honor for Fats Waller. Jason Moran didn’t want to just have a nostalgic concert, that\u2019s why he enriched the music with jazz and hip hop. He got the Grammy for this record.<\/p>\n
The concert will be on the 2nd<\/sup> of November from 9.30pm.
