Lucerna Music Bar is getting ready for the long-expected show of the Slovenian DJ and producer with the stage name Gramatik. His European tour started yesterday and bears the self-explaining name \u201cLeave Your Mark\u201d. The American duo Russ Liquid and Gibbz support the tour. Gramatik will come to Prague for the very first time on the November 17th.<\/p>\n
Gramatik, whose real name is Denis Ja\u0161arevi\u0107 hails from Portoroz, Slovenia, but resides in New York. His life took an unexpected turn after the very first show in 2009 \u2013 this summer he performed at sold out arenas in Europe and US, he set up his own label and was recently nominated for the prestigious EMA Award 2014 in the Best Adria Act category.<\/p>\n
The Slovenian is touring EU for the second time, this time with his latest album \u201cThe Age of Reason\u201d \u2013 the name being inspired by the comedian George Carlin, who used this phrase during one of his stand-up acts. Just like Carlin, Gramatik aims to lead his fans to achieving the age of reason through his music \u2013 the moment that is a milestone in one\u2019s life when one can orient in the society full of half-truths and irrationality.<\/p>\n
Gramatik is also known for his unprecedented approach to the music industry. His own label called Lowtemp is a big advocate of sharing of music for free. Fans can download anything for free with a single click. That\u2019s how Gramatik won the hearts of his fans who don\u2019t buy his music but buy tickets to his shows instead.<\/p>\n
