On 3rd of March, Lucerna Music Bar will host a huge dancehall night with Jamaican headliner Elephant Man! He will be supported by local bands and DJs such as Pull Up Unity Mad Coffin, The Limitless, GhettoRocka and DJ Herby a Boldrik. The evening will start with screening of dancehall documentary film Displace.
Popular Kingston deejay, singer and entertainer O’Neil Bryan known as Elephant Man has been releasing music since 1997 and has made hundreds and perhaps even thousands of singles with major labels as well as labels from the Kingston Ghetto over his long solo career. Elephant Man is without a doubt one of the ten most important figures of the local dance scene in the last twenty years and his voice appears on many crucial dancehall riddimes (instrumentals) of Jamaican history. For example, let’s mention at least Riddimes Diwali, Kopa, Stepz, Applause, Coolie, Jiggy or Bubble Up. Elephant’s venerable catalog includes essential anthems such as Pon De River, Willie Bounce, Signal di Plane, Father Elephant, Gully Creep, Rah Rah, Nuh Linga, Crazy Hype, Five-O, Scooby Doo, Sesame Street and many more.
