Vedle n\u011bj se na stage p\u0159edstav\u00ed i <strong>Santa Y Su Marab\u00fa<\/strong> z Kuby, \u010desko-jemen\u0161t\u00ed <strong>Al-Yaman<\/strong>, <strong>Burama Badji <\/strong>aka<strong> Afronomad Sound <\/strong>ze Senegalu, <strong>Ba-To-Cu, Aiwa Tribe<\/strong> nebo <strong>Ross The Boss<\/strong>! Lucerna Music Bar\u00a0za\u017eije dal\u0161\u00ed dlouho o\u010dek\u00e1vanou (neb\u00e1l bych se \u0159\u00edct vymodlenou) \u010deskou premi\u00e9ru u\u017e 29. z\u00e1\u0159\u00ed. U\u017e to m\u00e1me za p\u00e1r a rozhodn\u011b neu\u0161kod\u00ed si p\u0159edem &#8218;Dona&#8216; tro\u0161ku nastudovat. M\u00e1me pro v\u00e1s podrobn\u00e1 skripta:-)<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don Carlos <\/strong>m\u00e1 v pase naps\u00e1no jm\u00e9no <strong>Euvin Spencer<\/strong> a jako datum narozen\u00ed rok 1953. Svou \u2018kari\u00e9ru\u2018 odstartoval ve t\u0159in\u00e1cti letech n\u011bkolika ve\u0159ejn\u00fdmi vystoupen\u00edmi. Ov\u0161em nep\u0159edstavujte si \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9ho wonderboye po vzoru <strong>Dennis<\/strong>e <strong>Brown<\/strong>a. Sp\u00ed\u0161 se jednalo o chlapeckou z\u00e1bavu a mal\u00fd Euvin ani netu\u0161il, \u017ee hudba ho jednou zavede do v\u0161ech kout\u016f sv\u011bta. V tomto v\u011bku si tak\u00e9 vykoledoval sv\u016fj um\u011bleck\u00fd nick. P\u0159i pohledu na jeho vysokou asketickou postavu se p\u0159\u00edzvisko Don samo nab\u00edz\u00ed. A Carlos? Tak mu \u0159\u00edkala jeho matka. Don poch\u00e1z\u00ed ze z\u00e1padn\u00edho Kingstonu, jmenovit\u011b \u010dtvrti zn\u00e1m\u00e9 jako <strong>Waterhouse<\/strong>. Waterhouse, to je jedna z nejm\u00e9n\u011b p\u0159\u00edv\u011btiv\u00fdch \u010dtvrt\u00ed jamajsk\u00e9ho hlavn\u00edho m\u011bsta. Drsn\u00e9 ghetto, v n\u011bm\u017e neplat\u00ed z\u00e1kony civilizace, n\u00fdbr\u017e pr\u00e1vo siln\u011bj\u0161\u00edho. Zkr\u00e1tka nep\u0159\u00edjemn\u00e9 a hlavn\u011b nebezpe\u010dn\u00e9 m\u00edsto k \u017eivotu. P\u0159esto je to pr\u00e1v\u011b tato \u010dtvrt, kter\u00e1 dala sv\u011btu n\u011bkter\u00e9 z nejlep\u0161\u00edch reggae interpret\u016f. Poch\u00e1zel odtud nap\u0159\u00edklad <strong>Hugh Mundell<\/strong> i jeho druh <strong>Lacksley Castell<\/strong> \u010di legend\u00e1rn\u00ed producent<strong> Prince Jammy<\/strong> (dnes u\u017e \u00b4Kr\u00e1l\u00b4). Ale hlavn\u011b zde po\u010d\u00e1tkem sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let vznikli<strong> Black Uhuru<\/strong>. Tedy vznikli&#8230; Dejme slovo Donovi: \u2018<strong>Garth Dennis<\/strong> byl zp\u011bv\u00e1kem v t\u00e9 \u010dtvrti (Waterhousu). Vyrostl v <strong>Trenchtown<\/strong>u s <strong>Bob<\/strong>em <strong>Marley<\/strong>, <strong>Peter<\/strong>em<strong> Tosh<\/strong>em, <strong>Wailing Souls<\/strong>, <strong>Joe Higgs<\/strong>em a dal\u0161\u00edmi. Jednoho dne se z Trenchtownu p\u0159est\u011bhoval do Waterhousu a rozhodl se za\u010d\u00edt hudebn\u00ed kari\u00e9ru. Pak do stejn\u00e9ho m\u00edsta p\u0159i\u0161el <strong>Duckie Simpson<\/strong> a za\u010dali spolu zp\u00edvat. Jednou za mnou Garth p\u0159i\u0161el a \u0159\u00edk\u00e1: \u2018J\u00e1 a tenhle bratr zakl\u00e1d\u00e1me skupinu. Zjistil jsem, \u017ee pot\u0159ebujeme t\u0159et\u00edho na zp\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed, chce\u0161 se k n\u00e1m p\u0159idat?\u2018 A j\u00e1 jsem \u0159ekl Jo! a tak to v\u0161echno za\u010dalo.\u2018 Skupina tehdy ani nem\u011bla po\u0159\u00e1dn\u00e9 jm\u00e9no. Pozd\u011bji si za\u010dali \u0159\u00edkat<strong> Black Sounds of Uhro<\/strong> a teprve o n\u011bkolik let pozd\u011bji z toho evoluc\u00ed vznikla dodnes legend\u00e1rn\u00ed zna\u010dka. Napoprv\u00e9 se v nich Don v podstat\u011b jen tak mihnul. Se sv\u00fdmi druhy Garthem Dennisem a zakladatelem skupiny Duckie Simpsonem nato\u010dili jedin\u00fd singl <strong><em>Folk Song<\/em><\/strong>, kter\u00fd se nestal zrovna trh\u00e1kem hitpar\u00e1d. <strong>Clive Chin<\/strong>, zn\u00e1m\u00fd producent ze sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let, se nechal sly\u0161et, \u017ee existuje i dal\u0161\u00ed nevydan\u00fd materi\u00e1l z tohoto obdob\u00ed, snad by to dokonce vydalo na cel\u00e9 album&#8230; Ov\u0161em kdo v\u00ed, zda-li se nejedn\u00e1 o jamajskou obdobu mysliveck\u00e9 latiny? Trio se pak v p\u016flce sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let rozpadlo, Garth Dennis se p\u0159ipojil k etablovan\u00fdm a popul\u00e1rn\u00edm Wailing Souls, zat\u00edmco Don Carlos zkou\u0161el prorazit s\u00f3lov\u011b. Jen d\u00edky tvrdohlavosti Duckie Simpsona skupina nezanikla a po n\u011bkolika person\u00e1ln\u00edch transformac\u00edch se do n\u00ed Don Carlos na konci osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let na ur\u010ditou dobu vr\u00e1til, ale to p\u0159edb\u00edh\u00e1me ud\u00e1lostem.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/H_pXs2a20pc?version=3&amp;hl=cs_CZ\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/H_pXs2a20pc?version=3&amp;hl=cs_CZ\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Zp\u00e1tky v polovin\u011b sedmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let na Jamajce vl\u00e1dlo roots reggae s rasta centricky orientovan\u00fdmi texty. Don s t\u00edm nem\u011bl nejmen\u0161\u00ed probl\u00e9m. O duchovno se zaj\u00edmal podle sv\u00fdch slov odmala. \u2018M\u00e1m velmi r\u00e1d lidi, ale nade v\u0161echno miluji Boha. Hodn\u011b \u010dtu Bibli a zaujala m\u011b spravedlnost a uv\u011bdom\u011blost prorok\u016f. Na\u0161el jsem s\u00e1m sebe v ryzosti a l\u00e1sce ke spravedlnosti a uv\u011bdom\u011bn\u00ed. Znalost <strong>Rastafari<\/strong> m\u011b je\u0161t\u011b pos\u00edlila a nutila m\u011b poznat je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edc.\u2018 Jen n\u011bjak nemohl prorazit. Na\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed se v\u0161ak nevzd\u00e1val a trp\u011bliv\u011b \u010dekal na p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost. Ta p\u0159i\u0161la zkraje osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let, paradoxn\u011b v dob\u011b, kdy roots&amp;culture p\u0159est\u00e1valo hr\u00e1t \u00fast\u0159edn\u00ed roli v t\u00e9matice reggae. Pro Dona Carlose se zosobn\u011bn\u00edm p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti stal producent <strong>Robert \u2018Flacko\u2018 Palmer<\/strong>. Ten na sv\u00e9m labelu <strong>Negus Roots<\/strong> vydal Donovu prvn\u00ed LP<strong><em> Suffering<\/em><\/strong> (n\u011bkdy t\u00e9\u017e zvanou <strong><em>Prophecy<\/em><\/strong>). Kdy\u017e o rok pozd\u011bji vy\u0161el na stejn\u00e9 zna\u010dce dal\u0161\u00ed Don\u016fv titul \u2013 deska <strong><em>Harvest Time<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 byla jeho pozice ji\u017e \u00fapln\u011b odli\u0161n\u00e1. Producenti, kte\u0159\u00ed mu p\u0159edt\u00edm zav\u00edrali dve\u0159e p\u0159ed nosem, jej nyn\u00ed l\u00e1kali do studia. Sledovat tehdej\u0161\u00ed Donovu tvorbu, to je jako stru\u010dn\u00fd \u00favod do historie reggae v po\u010d\u00ednaj\u00edc\u00edch osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch letech.<\/p>\n<p>Jako prvn\u00ed zast\u00e1vku si dejme produkci <strong>Linval<\/strong>a <strong>Thompson<\/strong>a a tedy b-stranu spole\u010dn\u00e9 desky s <strong>Culture<\/strong> s v\u0161e \u0159\u00edkaj\u00edc\u00edm n\u00e1zvem Roots &amp; Culture. (Zaj\u00edmavost\u00ed je i fakt, \u017ee zp\u011bv za Culture neobstar\u00e1v\u00e1 <strong>Joseph Hill<\/strong>, ale jeho obvykl\u00fd doprovodn\u00fd zp\u011bv\u00e1k a bratranec <strong>Albert Walker<\/strong>). Don ve sv\u00fdch peck\u00e1ch zp\u00edv\u00e1 nejen uv\u011bdom\u011bl\u00e9 rasta conscious texty, ale um\u00ed to i odleh\u010dit. Nap\u0159\u00edklad ve skladb\u011b<strong><em> Say You Will Be My Baby<\/em><\/strong> zp\u00edv\u00e1 o d\u00edvce jm\u00e9nem <strong>Christine<\/strong>, kter\u00e1 se nejprve stane jeho vyvolenou, medov\u011b sladkou kr\u00e1lovnou, aby pozd\u011bji mohla utratit v\u0161e, co vyd\u011bl\u00e1. V n\u011bm se o popularitu sv\u00e1\u0159ely zejm\u00e9na dv\u011b st\u00e1je. Na jedn\u00e9 stran\u011b to byli osv\u011bd\u010den\u00ed v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00edci z <strong>Maxfield Avenue<\/strong>, tedy producent<strong> Jo Jo Hookim<\/strong> a jeho <strong>Channel One<\/strong>. Hookim siln\u011b t\u011b\u017eil z \u010dinnosti sv\u00fdch zam\u011bstnanc\u016f-zvukov\u00fdch in\u017een\u00fdr\u016f<strong> Hopeton<\/strong>a <strong>Brown<\/strong>a zn\u00e1m\u00e9ho jako <strong>Scientis<\/strong>t a <strong>Peter<\/strong>a <strong>Thompson<\/strong>a \u0159e\u010den\u00e9ho<strong> Chemist<\/strong>. Tento dvojblok dopl\u0148oval je\u0161t\u011b mlad\u00edk s p\u0159ezd\u00edvkou <strong>Soljie<\/strong> a hlavn\u011b Hookim\u016fv d\u0159\u00edv\u011bj\u0161\u00ed rival \u2013 <strong>Niney The Observer<\/strong>. Pt\u00e1te se, pro\u010d se zaj\u00edmat o chlap\u00edky, kte\u0159\u00ed ovl\u00e1daj\u00ed mix\u00e1\u017en\u00ed pult ve studiu? Pr\u00e1v\u011b oni jsou toti\u017e v reggae nesm\u00edrn\u011b d\u016fle\u017eit\u00ed jako nositel\u00e9 pokroku a snad v \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9m jin\u00e9m obdob\u00ed to nebylo tak v\u00fdrazn\u00e9 jako pr\u00e1v\u011b v t\u00e9to dob\u011b, kdy platilo, \u017ee (\u0159e\u010deno s <strong>Barrington<\/strong>em <strong>Levy<\/strong>) \u2018Dances are changing\u2018. Pro Dona Carlose bylo velkou ct\u00ed a z\u00e1rove\u0148 potvrzen\u00edm kvalit, \u017ee jedno ze sv\u00fdch nejsiln\u011bj\u0161\u00edch alb \u2013 <strong><em>Them Never Know Natty Dread Have Him Credential<\/em><\/strong>, nato\u010dil pr\u00e1v\u011b zde.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/Oqo5rhtl4ww?version=3&amp;hl=cs_CZ\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/Oqo5rhtl4ww?version=3&amp;hl=cs_CZ\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Nejen na tomto, ale i na spoust\u011b dal\u0161\u00edch Donov\u00fdch alb se pod\u00edlel <strong>Aric Lainsfield<\/strong> AKA<strong> Gold<\/strong>. Donova souputn\u00edka bohu\u017eel potkal krut\u00fd osud. P\u0159ed patn\u00e1cti lety jej post\u0159elili b\u011bhem loupe\u017en\u00e9ho p\u0159epaden\u00ed a on je od t\u00e9 doby \u010d\u00e1ste\u010dn\u011b ochrnut\u00fd.<\/p>\n<p>Desku, kterou mnoz\u00ed (v\u010detn\u011b m\u011b) pova\u017euj\u00ed za jeho opravdov\u00fd Opus Magnum, tedy titul <strong>Day To Day Living<\/strong>, v\u0161ak nahr\u00e1l pro Hookimova hlavn\u00edho soka, producenta <strong>Henry \u2018Junjo\u2018 Lawes<\/strong>e. Junjo se sna\u017eil v hudebn\u00edm businessu prosadit nejprve jako zp\u011bv\u00e1k, z\u00e1hy v\u0161ak nahl\u00e9dl marnost sv\u00e9ho po\u010d\u00edn\u00e1n\u00ed a sv\u00e9 jm\u00e9no si za\u010dal budovat jako progresivn\u00ed producent, kdy\u017e vydal album Barringtona Levyho &#8211; Bounty Hunter. Lawes nikdy nevlastnil studio a sv\u00e9 sessions po\u0159\u00e1dal kde se dalo. Ta k Day To Day Living se konala v ch\u0159t\u00e1nu konkurence, \u010dili ve studiu Channel One a krom\u011b Dona Carlose se ji z\u00fa\u010dastnili jako doprovodn\u00e1 skupina chlapci z <strong>Roots Radics<\/strong> a s nimi je\u0161t\u011b <strong>Dean Fraser<\/strong> a <strong>Nambo Robinson<\/strong> na dechov\u00e9 n\u00e1stroje. V reperto\u00e1ru m\u011bli pomal\u00e9 riddimy se zatracen\u011b v\u00fdrazn\u00fdmi basov\u00fdmi linkami, co\u017e byl sound, kter\u00fd tehdy vl\u00e1dl jamajsk\u00fdm dancehall\u016fm. Kdy\u017e si k tomu p\u0159ipo\u010dt\u011bte Don\u016fv hypnotick\u00fd hlas a kvalitn\u00ed skladatelskou pr\u00e1ci v hitov\u00fdch singlech jako <strong><em>Hog &amp; Goat<\/em><\/strong> a <strong><em>Dice Cup<\/em><\/strong>, jako\u017e i na ostatn\u00edch osmi v\u00e1lech, nem\u016f\u017ee v\u00e1m v sou\u010dtu vyj\u00edt nic jin\u00e9ho, ne\u017e poslucha\u010dsk\u00e9 pot\u011b\u0161en\u00ed z tohoto \u0161perku p\u0159ed digit\u00e1ln\u00edho reggae. A nic na tom nezm\u011bn\u00ed ani skute\u010dnost, \u017ee zcela v souladu se zavedenou dobovou prax\u00ed Don n\u011bkter\u00e9 songy nazp\u00edval d\u0159\u00edve \u010di pozd\u011bji i pro jin\u00e9 producenty.<\/p>\n<p>Po\u010d\u00e1tek osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let byl v reggae ve znamen\u00ed rozpustilosti. Jestli\u017ee p\u0159ede\u0161l\u00e9 dek\u00e1dy pat\u0159ily zp\u011bv\u00e1k\u016fm, v tuto dobu do\u0161lo k z\u00e1sadn\u00edmu p\u0159elomu a Jamajka za\u010dala produkovat v\u00edce DJsk\u00fdch nahr\u00e1vek, ne\u017e kdy p\u0159edt\u00edm. Jen m\u00e1lo zp\u011bv\u00e1k\u016f dok\u00e1zalo dr\u017eet krok v popularit\u011b s DJs jako byli <strong>Brigadier Jerry<\/strong>, <strong>Josey Wales<\/strong> a zejm\u00e9na <strong>Yellowman<\/strong>. Don Carlos to dok\u00e1zal. A nav\u00edc m\u011bl i n\u011bco, co v\u011bt\u0161ina um\u011blc\u016f jeho generace postr\u00e1dala \u2013 dready a rastafari\u00e1nsk\u00e9 texty. T\u00edm jaksi l\u00e9pe pasoval do p\u0159edstavy reggae um\u011blce, kterou si vytvo\u0159ilo sv\u011btov\u00e9 obecenstvo. Mohl se tak prosadit i mimo Jamajku a roztrou\u0161en\u00e9 jamajsk\u00e9 enkl\u00e1vy. Evropsk\u00fd trh byl pro reggae ji\u017e mrtv\u00fd, tato hudba se v\u0161ak postupn\u011b prosazovala do podv\u011bdom\u00ed americk\u00e9ho poslucha\u010dstva. Pro Dona bylo \u0161t\u011bst\u00edm, \u017ee si jej obl\u00edbil <strong>Gary Himelfarb<\/strong> AKA <strong>Dr.Dread<\/strong>, rozhlasov\u00fd selektor z Washingtonu a zakladatel <strong>RAS Records<\/strong>. Himelfarb koupil pr\u00e1va na alba Suffering a Harvest Time, vybral z nich nejlep\u0161\u00ed songy a to v\u0161e vydal na LP pod n\u00e1zvem <strong>Raving Tonight<\/strong>. \u2018P\u0159i\u0161el jsem do Waterhouse, abych se setkal s Donem a jeho nejlep\u0161\u00edm p\u0159\u00edtelem a spoluautorem zn\u00e1m\u00fdm jako Gold,\u2018 vzpom\u00ednal na to po letech. \u2018Ti dva byli velmi bl\u00edzc\u00ed brat\u0159i a Gold zp\u00edval harmonie na v\u011bt\u0161in\u011b Donov\u00fdch alb. Nikdy nezapomenu na tu noc, kdy si Tommy Noonan (fotograf RAS) vzal svoje fidl\u00e1tka do Watehouse a sehnali jsme kupu lid\u00ed na fotografickou session k Raving Tonight. A tak\u00e9 otev\u00edral cestu k americk\u00e9mu publiku, tak\u017ee jste mohli vyrazit na turn\u00e9 s jistotou, \u017ee na va\u0161e vystoupen\u00ed n\u011bkdo p\u0159ijde a vy si tak vyd\u011bl\u00e1te na \u017eivobyt\u00ed. Na druh\u00e9 stran\u011b vy\u017eadoval od um\u011blc\u016f ur\u010dit\u00e9 p\u0159izp\u016fsoben\u00ed se vkusu jin\u00e9ho publika. Druh\u00e9 Donovo album pro RAS \u2013 <strong><em>Just A Pasing Glance<\/em><\/strong>, dok\u00e1zalo splnit tuto podm\u00ednku, ani\u017e by n\u011bjak ztratilo ze sv\u00e9 autenti\u010dnosti a s\u00edly. Pr\u00e1vem se i ono \u0159ad\u00ed k Donov\u00fdm nejlep\u0161\u00edm a nejpopul\u00e1rn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm desk\u00e1m. Se sv\u00fdm hrav\u00fdm a snadno straviteln\u00fdm stylem si na\u0161lo cestu i k africk\u00e9mu publiku. Himelfarb jej nap\u0159\u00edklad licencoval pro vyd\u00e1n\u00ed v Nig\u00e9rii, kde se jej prodalo 800tis\u00edc! (Podotkn\u011bme \u2018\u00fadajn\u011b\u2018, nebo\u0165 spolehliv\u00e1 \u010d\u00edsla a Afrika jaksi nejdou dohromady).<br \/>\nVedle nahr\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed pro RAS si Don na\u0161el i dost \u010dasu pro dom\u00e1c\u00ed jamajsk\u00e9 producenty. Velmi slu\u0161nou \u00farove\u0148 si kup\u0159\u00edkladu udr\u017eovaly songy, kter\u00e9 vznikly pod dohledem <strong>Bunny Lee<\/strong>. Zejm\u00e9na jeden z nich \u2013<strong><em> Lazer Beam<\/em><\/strong> na riddimu Weather Man Skank, se stal nejen jm\u00e9nem cel\u00e9ho LP, ale i pro Dona tak\u0159ka nezbytnou rekvizitou b\u011bhem jak\u00e9hokoli vystoupen\u00ed. D\u00e1le si do seznamu producent\u016f, pro kter\u00e9 Don nahr\u00e1val, p\u0159idejte <strong>Roy Cousins<\/strong>e a jeho label <strong>Tamoki Wambesi<\/strong>. Ani zde vznikl\u00e1 alba<strong> Ghetto <em>Living<\/em><\/strong> a<em><strong> Plantation<\/strong><\/em> (ob\u011b maj\u00ed v\u011bt\u0161inu obsahu spole\u010dn\u00e9ho) nejsou marn\u00e1. Jen ten cover <strong><em>Ain\u2019t Too Proud To Beg<\/em><\/strong> si mohl odpustit&#8230; Pozoruhodn\u00e1 jsou i n\u011bkter\u00e1 alba, kter\u00e1 Don sd\u00edl\u00ed spole\u010dn\u011b s jin\u00fdmi interprety. <strong>Hitbound<\/strong> (\u010dili sta\u0159\u00ed zn\u00e1m\u00ed z Channel One) takto v r\u00e1mci s\u00e9rie<em><strong> Showdown<\/strong><\/em> vydal LP, na n\u00ed\u017e s Donem nalezneme legend\u00e1rn\u00ed<strong> The Gladiators<\/strong>. Pecky jako<strong><em> Black Out In The Ghetto<\/em><\/strong> nebo<strong><em> Travelling So Long<\/em><\/strong> si okam\u017eit\u011b z\u00edskaj\u00ed sv\u00e9 poslucha\u010de a v\u016fbec cel\u00e1 deska je rozhodn\u011b velmi p\u0159\u00edjemn\u00e1. Dnes obt\u00ed\u017en\u011b sehnatelnou raritu p\u0159edstavuje titul <strong><em>Rasta Brothers<\/em><\/strong>, na n\u00ed\u017e Donovi d\u011blaj\u00ed staf\u00e1\u017e <strong><em>Little John<\/em><\/strong> a <strong><em>Anthony Johnson<\/em><\/strong>. Mnohem sn\u00e1ze p\u0159ipadnete na album, kter\u00e9 Don nato\u010dil spole\u010dn\u011b se sv\u00fdm sousedem z Waterhousu <strong>Junior<\/strong> <strong>Reid<\/strong>em pro producenta <strong>Delroy<\/strong>e \u2018<strong>Barry\u2018 Wright<\/strong>a. To sv\u00fdm jm\u00e9nem <strong><em>Firehouse Clash<\/em><\/strong> nar\u00e1\u017e\u00ed na jm\u00e9no \u010dtvrti, ze kter\u00e9 oba poch\u00e1zej\u00ed. Jak Reid, tak i Carlos na n\u011bm p\u0159edstavily p\u00edsn\u011b, kter\u00e9 pozd\u011bji nahr\u00e1ly i s Black Uhuru \u2013<strong><em> Chanting<\/em><\/strong>, respektive <strong><em>Living In The City<\/em><\/strong>. A propos, kdy\u017e u\u017e se tu zmi\u0148uje tato skupina&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Black Uhuru v pr\u016fb\u011bhu osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch let za\u017eili chvilky sl\u00e1vy i ho\u0159kost p\u00e1du. V prvn\u00ed polovin\u011b dek\u00e1dy nejprve z\u00edsk\u00e1vali ostruhy jako nev\u0161edn\u00ed a progresivn\u00ed interpreti a klasick\u00fd line-up <strong>Michael Rose<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Sandra Jones<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Duckie Simpson<\/strong> v doprovodu <strong>Sly &amp; Robbie<\/strong> dokonce vyprod\u00e1val velk\u00e9 koncertn\u00ed ar\u00e9ny. Kdy\u017e v\u0161ak Rose skupinu opustil, nastal nejprve komer\u010dn\u00ed a posl\u00e9ze i um\u011bleck\u00fd propad. Po jednom dobr\u00e9m a jednom rozpa\u010dit\u00e9m albu a zejm\u00e9na kv\u016fli probl\u00e9m\u016fm s v\u00edzy ode\u0161la ze skupiny i Roseova n\u00e1hrada na postu hlavn\u00edho zp\u011bv\u00e1ka &#8211; Junior Reid. Kdy\u017e pak v roce 1988 zp\u011bva\u010dka Sandra Jones onemocn\u011bla rakovinou, st\u00e1l Duckie Simpson p\u0159ed ot\u00e1zkou, co d\u00e1l. Rozhodl se povolat do zbran\u011b sv\u00e9 d\u00e1vn\u00e9 spolubojovn\u00edky Gartha Dennise a Dona Carlose. V\u00fdsledek v podob\u011b \u010dty\u0159 alb v\u0161ak vzbuzuje rozpaky. To prvn\u00ed z roku 1990, nazvan\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edhodn\u011b<strong><em> NOW<\/em><\/strong>, si je\u0161t\u011b jak\u017e tak\u017e zachov\u00e1v\u00e1 rysy typick\u00e9 pro tvorbu skupiny. Nesmlouvav\u00e9 kytarov\u00e9 riffy sice p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 nesouzn\u00ed s Donov\u00fdm p\u0159\u00e1telsk\u00fdm hlasem, ov\u0161em album se d\u00e1 poslouchat. Toto krit\u00e9rium v\u0161ak ji\u017e bohu\u017eel nespl\u0148uj\u00ed desky, kter\u00e9 n\u00e1sledovaly. Snad byla na vin\u011b vlna pop reggae, kter\u00e1 zkraje devades\u00e1t\u00fdch let zaplavila MTV, snad nevhodn\u00e1 konstelace hv\u011bzd&#8230; Ka\u017edop\u00e1dn\u011b dal\u0161\u00ed t\u0159i tituly se nesly v duchu p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 o\u010dividn\u00e9 snahy nav\u00e1zat na \u00fasp\u011bchy skupin jako<strong> Inner Circle<\/strong> \u010di<strong> Aswad<\/strong> a ob\u010dasn\u00e1 spolupr\u00e1ce s rappery form\u00e1tu <strong>Ice-T<\/strong> to nemohla zachr\u00e1nit. D\u00e1vn\u00ed v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00edci se stali smutnou karikaturou za\u0161l\u00e9 velikosti. Skupinou nav\u00edc cloumaly vnit\u0159n\u00ed spory. Ty vyvrcholily, kdy\u017e Don Carlos s Garthem Dennisem vyrazili na turn\u00e9 bez Duckie Simpsona. N\u00e1sledoval soud o u\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed jm\u00e9na Black Uhuru, kter\u00fd se po n\u011bkolikalet\u00e9m projedn\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159iklonil na stranu Duckie Simpsona. Ten dal z\u00e1hy dohromady nov\u00e9 slo\u017een\u00ed skupiny, nicm\u00e9n\u011b to u\u017e je kapitola mimo r\u00e1mec tohoto \u010dl\u00e1nku&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Po rozpadu Black Uhuru vydal Don desku<strong><em> Seven Days A Week<\/em><\/strong> a hlavn\u011b; velmi intenz\u00edvn\u011b se v\u011bnuje koncertov\u00e1n\u00ed. V tomto ohledu z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 jedn\u00edm z nejtvrd\u011bji pracuj\u00edc\u00edch zp\u011bv\u00e1k\u016f v businessu, kter\u00fd si nav\u00edc rozum\u00ed i ve spolupr\u00e1ci s mlad\u0161\u00ed generac\u00ed (pod \u010dl\u00e1nkem naleznete jeden velmi dobr\u00fd p\u0159\u00edklad). Chyst\u00e1 pr\u00fd i knihu rozhovor\u016f a nov\u00e9 album. V\u00fdborn\u00e1 alba z Channel One sice dosud nevy\u0161la na cd, ov\u0161em sehnat je na vinylu by nem\u011bl b\u00fdt zas takov\u00fd probl\u00e9m. Spojen\u00ed Dona Carlose s Black Uhuru se rad\u011bji vyhn\u011bte, pokud v\u0161ak objev\u00edte DVD se z\u00e1znamem jeho koncertu ze San Franciska od spole\u010dnosti 2b1, nev\u00e1hejte ani minutu.
